Best recruiting class in school history

Today was National Letter of Intent day for college football, a day when high school football recruits officially decided where they're going to play in college. Today was the day that every school in the nation got to see just how well they recruited this year. Today was the day that the Ducks confirmed that this year was the best recruiting year in school history!

I won't get too much into details, because those of you who really care about it already know, but Oregon's recruiting class this year is ranked 8th in the nation on Scout.com, 12th on Rivals.com, and 24th on ESPN.com (which is bullshit). We had 29 recruits sign with us today, and depending on where you look, 11 or 12 of them are 4 stars and 11 or 12 3 stars, with an average of 3.14 or 3.17 stars per recruit. That's damn good! It's actually the best we've ever done.

As part of Teamwork, which is basically the football recruiting department, I feel very satisfied that our work all this year has seemingly paid off. I say seemingly because it's impossible to tell why each kid came here, and most likely it's got nothing to do with me, but I can still take pride in the football program that I am a part of. Here's to the next 4 years being amazing! GO DUCKS!

Congratulations! I read about it, and was excited to hear the buzz even up the valley here in Portland. I am sure you had something to do with it.

Yeah, well our football team at Seattle U has still never been beaten. I just wonder what the Ducks are going to do now that Crowden has moved on. Still gonna go with the spread option or go a more traditional route. Personally, with J-Stew, and the complete lack of anything even resembling a quarterback, I'd run the ball up the gut until Stewart dies.

Well, there's a lot of rumblings about the new OC job, inside guys and outside guys, but they're all just rumors right now. As far as offense goes, if Dixon can pull his head out of his ass and try and limit it to less than 5 picks a game, then him and Stewart are probably the most deadly combo with the spread option. I'd like to see a lot more productivity out of both of them next year though.

Oh, and thank god Seattle isn't on our schedule next year. Big sigh of relief.
