Woman runs over her own legs at McDonalds

I'm not exactly sure how they do it in Philly, but everywhere I've been, the whole concept of a drive-thru is that you order your food without getting out of the car. But I guess this lady has some other method; one that involved her getting out of and then getting run over by her car. She was taken by ambulance to a waiting helicopter that transported her to the hospital. Was the black Chevy Blazer too far from the window? Did she drop some change? Did she know that she was so uncoordinated that she was about to somehow fall under her own tires? You'll just have to read on.

The thing is, nobody is really sure how it happened. Rescue crews are investigating, and an eye witness account, well, doesn't help at all. From the news story:

"One witness said that it looked like the woman had placed an order, and her vehicle was slowly moving forward.

The witness said that the next thing they knew, the woman had somehow fallen out of the Blazer and landed partially in the lane, and her legs went underneath her vehicle."

Thanks for that accurate description. To me, it sounds like this lady must have done this on purpose. Everyone makes it seem so incomprehensible and improbable an accident, that there's no other explanation. She hates McDonald's, thinks it's immoral to serve the people of this country food that will take 20 years off their lives, and decided to protest by running over her legs. I can see it now, the new movie that targets McDonald's, like Super Size Me and Fast Food Nation, is titled "I'd Rather be Crippled than Eat That Crap". Or maybe it was the opposite. Maybe she just saved her own life by running over her own legs instead of eating those 30 Big Macs she ordered. Who really knows?

But hey, at least this didn't happen to her.
