New Dark Knight Pic: Bleeding Batman

I spotted this yesterday. It's your standard promo head shot for the new Batman movie on the cover of Climax Magazine in Spain. (I wouldn't recommend googling that...) However, his nose is bleeding. What the hell is that all about? I assume Batman will bleed in this movie, sure, but why in this picture? A little foreshadowing of his fate perhaps? Or is this just another cog in the brilliant wheel that is The Dark Knight marketing?
