Beatles Fact of the Day

John Lennon hated the song "Let It Be", written by Paul, because of it's apparent Christian overtones. So, on the original Let It Be album, John made sure that "Maggie Mae", a song about a Liverpool prostitute, followed it.

Note: Paul went back into the studio in 2003 to strip the original Let It Be album of its Phil Spector production sound, which John pushed for but Paul hated. When Let It Be...Naked was released, "Let It Be" was the final track, and "Maggie Mae" was nowhere to be found.
