TIGER!
Well, I don't want to jinx anything, but I have to say: it's really nice to see Tiger high on the leaderboard. The British Open started today, and when the dust settled, Tiger was tied for second with a 5-under 67. The leader, Graeme McDowell of Northern Ireland, shot a 6-under 66.
Tiger bookended his day with his best and worst holes. He started out with a bogey on 1, and then climbed back into it and capped off the day with an eagle on 18. Congrats to him, this has always been his tournament, and it's good to see him doing well again. Again, no jinx intended, but best of luck to him in the next 3 days of golf.

I don't know, I still don't like Tiger. He is great and all, but he's just not that likeable in my opinion. There's something about him that makes me want to drive his head through the nearest available wall. Then again, Phil is a complete ass, so Tiger is the lesser of two evils. At least neither are Michelle Can't Fucking Play Wie though. Bitch needs to win a women's event before she starts trying to make the cut at sub-par men's events. At least when Annika Sorrenstam tried she was easily the best female golfer in the world. Plus, I really hate people that are younger than me and rich and famous beyond their wildest dreams. Bastards.
Yeah, you know my feelings about Michelle Wie, I think we share the same distain for her, and if she was an ugly girl or a dude, we'd hate her even more. That's just being honest.
But I do love Tiger. The reason? He's young, he's black, he's American, he looks athletic (i.e. NOT fat like Phil), he shows emotion, he's the best at his sport, and most of all, he wins. He has the power with all of those characteristics to get people rallied behind him.
He has the Lance Armstrong type of qualities that get people going whenever he's in an event, and we've seen him win so many times in so many ways (like Lance) that we can't help but love him.
At least that's how I feel.
Phil's a douche, I agree, and I can't stop laughing when I'm listening to ESPN radio and they play him saying "I'm such an idiot. I can't believe I did that" whenever one of the hosts makes a mistake.
Nobody -- in any sport -- at any time beats Tiger. We are watching history and people need to take notice when true legendary greatness is among us.
