In The News: Bush abuses eminent domain
Here's the full story.
Yesterday, President Bush signed a bill that transferred the ownership of a 29-foot cross overlooking San Diego from the state government to the federal government via eminent domain. It was erected in 1954 as a Korean War memorial, but was going to be removed due to a couple of lawsuits. It was slated to come down this month. Originally, 76% of San Diego voters passed an act that would transfer ownership to the federal government, but a judge overturned it saying it was in violation of preferring a religious symbol. But then Bush swoops in and saves the day (and the cross), and further cements himself in his own little Heaven.
I have no problem with the memorial, I think it looks nice, and I probably would have voted to keep it up. But this is the "wrongest" way to go about keeping it. Pulling the eminent domain card to save a cross. Now, I'd say that is preferrential treatment.
I really only have one thing to say: CHURCH AND STATE you son of a bitch. Hopefully I'm black flagged now and some piece of shit in Washington will read this. I am so tired of this administration. Don't you people get it? They're breaking the rules! Sure, this isn't close to as big as the whole wiretapping thing, but still, it's the principle. They look like the Cincinnati Bengals for God's sake (pun intended). I say we go V For Vendetta on it and blow the whole thing up. Now I'm flagged for sure. Is it 2008 yet?

Speaking of the Bengals they open the season against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
And no, the Chiefs references will not stop until that horrifying ticker is down. That ticker should be considered assault against the retinas. It is that hideous.
You know what? Blow me.
I will relent on the ticker anger, just because you put up the George W. Bush ticker. As a real Republican (ie, only in the way people should be taxed and without the idiocy and bull shit) I can't wait until he is out of office. So you win Kevin, you win.
Yes! Victory! No, I don't care that I win, I just care that you say, as a Republican, he's a bad president. Thank you for that.
