The Department of Homeland Security, proving yet again that it's a class act
Well, as if the Department of Homeland Security didn't have a bad enough reputation, what with Tom Ridge and Katrina and all that, they've got another scandal on their hands. The deputy press secretary for the Department of Homeland Security, Brian Doyle, was arrested Tuesday night on charges of trying to seduce a child using a computer and transmitting pornographic materials. What's better, is another member of the DHS is going on trial this week for exposing himself to a teenage girl at a mall last year. Classy ship we got running over there in Washington. Anyways, Doyle was the victim of a classic child-sex sting. While he thought he was talking to a 14 year old girl for weeks (he knew she was 14, gross), he was really talking to a Florida Sheriff's detective. He sent pictures of himself, gave out his position in the department, and both his office phone number and his government-issued cell phone number. That's probably a smart move for a member of the DHS in the first place, but that allowed police to ID him pretty well. What a douchebag, seriously. I hope he goes to prison, and I hope everyone in that place finds out he's there for trying to get with a 14 year old, and administers plenty of the punishment he deserves. What is funny though, is that there wasn't even a 14 year old girl involved, which means everything that was said by "her" was actually said by a middle-aged man, including the phone calls apparently. I wonder if he thought it was a little weird talking dirty to a guy who gets $0.35 coffee at McDonald's all night long (Doyle is 55). Just a thought. Anyways, just thought I'd let you know that you're in good hands.

Wow, the government is showing some excellent progress. Glad to know we can trust the people up front...intelligence? Ha.
