Oregon State National Champions

This might be the only time OSU is mentioned in a good light in this blog, ever, but you have to take your hats of to them today. Their baseball team won the 2006 College World Series, and really earned it. They came out of the losers bracket, came off a hit from Miami, came back from being down 5-0 in the 4th inning to win 11-7, and came back from being 1 down in the best of 3 series to win the big one. The pitching was really the story of their success, and it was in full swing (pun half intended) tonight, helping them to a 3-2 victory. An error by UNC also helped them, a lot. It won them the game, but you know what? I'll take it. A win's a win, especially when it's the championship game. So congratulations OSU, but prepare to be taken off your high horse when we come through Corvallis next year in our new uniforms and blow you out in the Civil War like we did last year. But until then, live it up! Hell, there's got to be more sheep to steal!
