Apple takes a few more swings

I'm sure all of you have seen those Apple commercials with Justin Long; the "Hi, I'm a mac" commercials that take big swings at Microsoft. They're almost like presidential ads in that their whole goal is to prove they are the best by putting down the competitor. Well, this latest campaign looks even MORE like that, and it pulls no punches. Click the picture to enlarge it. It's a banner campaign advertising the new Mac OS X Leopard, and, like you see above, each have clever little remarks bashing Microsoft. The 3 I've seen are:

"Mac OS X Leopard: Introducing Vista 2.0"
"Mac OS X Leopard: Hasta la vista, Vista"
"Mac OS X Leopard: Redmond has a cat, too. A copycat."

These are funny, sure, but I've got to wonder if this will help them or hurt them. Apparently, those "Hi, I'm a Mac" ads actually worked against Apple, because more people related to the PC guy than they did the Mac guy, claiming the Mac was too smug and came across as a jackass, and this could do the same thing, only with Apple as a company being the jackass this time. Personally, I think they are clever, but not the best move.
