Adam Morrison: Real deal or NBA washout?

So, now that Adam Morrison is officially eligible for the NBA draft, mock drafts are having their way. I see him consistantly projected as going #3. This leads to the conversation question of the day: Will he make it in the NBA or will he end up another "well, he was great in college" player? In my opinion, he will adapt to the NBA, and become something of a Luke Ridnour in the sense that he'll become a role player. By no means does this guy have NBA superstar abilities, but I think his game will fit into the NBA style. Colin posted his opinion here if you want to check it out. He thinks Morrison will be another first round flop. Agree? Disagree? I personally disagree with him, because I think the entire NBA lacks defense. If we point out how great a player is on defense in the NBA, like Bruce Bowen for example, we're pointing out a player who cares enough about defense to make an effort. He still allows 20 points a game. That may be because there's too much offensive talent in the NBA, but what does that say about defense? Anyways, give me your opinions.

In most ways I agree with you on the fact that he will be a role player but I think his defense is the issue. In college he did not play defense. That is flat out wrong. With that extreme lack of motivation he showed in college and the new lower standards of effort in the NBA I think it is a one way trip to being the guy who give you 12 to 15 off the bench. It is just my opinion.
