Vegas, baby. Vegas.
As you can see from the counter on the sidebar, today is the day I head to Vegas. My Dad and I head out tonight at 7:15, and 3 or 4 short hours after, we'll be in Vegas. We're gonna miss the Oregon Sweet 16 game which is a HUGE bummer 'cause we'll be on the plane, and I'm torn between bringing my computer so we can watch it on demand when we get there or just getting the score when I get there and watching SportsCenter. We'll see. It's kind of funny that I'm headed to Vegas as we'll be playing UNLV. Don't worry, I plan to rock the Duck gear on the plane and proudly flaunt it around the airport when we get there, blindly assuming we won.
I envision this trip being a combination of experiences I've seen from the Vegas movies: the camaraderie of Swingers, the fortune of Vegas Vacation without the Randy Quaid, the style of Ocean's Eleven, and the Burt Bacharach of Austin Powers. Hopefully I can skip the killing from Casino, the ridiculous alcohol benders of Leaving Las Vegas, the fear... and loathing... of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (oh, and the drugs), and the aliens from Mars Attacks!. I'll take Jack Nicholson, but not the aliens.
Anyways, we're going to be staying at the Bellagio, which will be amazing, and we'll be seeing 2 shows while we're there: LOVE, the Beatles cirque du soleil show, and Spamalot, the show based on Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Both should be great for different reasons.
In the meantime, hopefully I don't gamble all my money away, but God help me, if I don't try, I'm going to regret it. Ok, so I'm joking. Clearly, I'm going to triple my money and come home loaded. Also, if I win anything over $25,000, you all are entitled to $100 of it. Just come to the house to collect.
Naturally, while I'm there the blog will be idle, but you can still jack up my hit counter by checking all the time, it's always nice to see a big old number there. I'll be taking lots of pictures while I'm there, and while the mantra is "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas", I'll post plenty of pictures of the trip. Until then, here's something to look at while I'm gone. Just assume this is the time I'm having:
