Beatles Fact of the Day

Early in their careers, The Beatles had a rival band: The Rolling Stones. Originally, The Beatles were positioned as "good boys", wearing suits and singing songs about love and happiness, so when The Stones came in, they positioned themselves as "bad boys", specifically to compete with The Beatles. Eventually, both bands became quite close, and even collaborated a little. "Baby You're A Rich Man", a song from Magical Mystery Tour, features Mick Jagger singing backup, and Brian Jones, The Stones' incredible guitarist musician, playing that crazy oboe track. In order to return the favor, John and Paul sang on The Stones' "We Love You", and also gave them the song "I Wanna Be Your Man" which inspired Mick and Keith Richards to start writing their own songs.
